Privacy Policy

Cypress Roof Guide collects personal information in only one place: the chat / text-opt-in widget, and only what you choose to type into it (your name, phone number, and message) along with your consent to be contacted — used to answer your question and connect you with a local roofer. If you never use the widget, you never hand the site any personal information. The tools on this site (cost and insurance calculators) run entirely in your browser — nothing you type into them is sent anywhere or stored — and the site shows no advertising. The site also collects anonymous usage analytics through Microsoft Clarity. Both are described in full below.

Contacting us & the roofer-matching widget

This site has a chat / text-opt-in widget (and a phone line, (832) 462-6897) you can use to ask a question or ask us to match you with a local roofer. It's powered by LeadConnector / GoHighLevel, the customer- relationship tool Cypress Roof Guide uses to manage inquiries. Using it is entirely optional.

When you submit the widget, the information you enter — typically your name, phone number, and message — is sent to and stored in that system so we can respond and connect you with a roofer. We use it only for that purpose. We do not sell your information.

Text messages (SMS). If you check the consent box / submit the widget with your phone number, you agree to receive text messages from Cypress Roof Guide about your inquiry at that number. Consent to texts is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. We don't share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.

A note on the roofers listed on our find-a-roofer page: those are independent businesses shown with their own public contact details and Google ratings. You can contact any of them directly without going through us, and this policy does not cover their separate data practices.

Analytics (Microsoft Clarity)

This site uses Microsoft Clarity, a website-analytics tool, to understand how the site is used — which pages are viewed, and how visitors click, scroll, and move through a page (aggregated into heatmaps and anonymized session replays). Clarity sets its own cookies to do this. To protect privacy, Clarity is configured to mask text and form inputs by default, so what you type into the calculators or any field is not recorded. The data is processed by Microsoft as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Cypress Roof Guide uses it only to improve the site, does not sell it, and does not use it to identify you personally. You can block it with any tracker-blocking browser or extension.

What this site collects

In short: the widget information you choose to submit (name, phone, message, and contact consent) and anonymous Clarity analytics — nothing else. There are no accounts or newsletter sign-ups, the calculators compute their results locally in your browser and transmit no inputs or results, and if you never use the chat / text widget the site collects no personal information from you at all.

Hosting and server logs

Like every website, this site is served by a hosting provider (Netlify), which may keep standard server access logs — such as IP addresses and request times — for security, abuse-prevention, and reliability. That logging is performed by the host under its own policies, not by this site, and this site does not add its own tracking on top of it.

Third-party links

Pages on this site link to external primary sources (for example, the Texas Department of Insurance, NOAA, and trade associations). Those sites have their own privacy practices; this policy covers only Cypress Roof Guide.

Changes to this policy

If this site changes what it collects or how it's used, this page will be updated to describe exactly what changed, before that change takes effect. The "Updated" date above reflects the last review. Questions? See the Contact page.
